Bumping into a friend
Mia: Hey, I haven't seen you in ages! What's been going on with you?
Tom: Oh, not much really. Work's been mad, but it's finally starting to die down.
Mia: Good, you needed a breather. Things were getting a bit much, weren't they?
Tom: Yeah, honestly. It's nice to feel like myself again.
Where the years went
Jo: Can you believe it's been ten years since uni?
Sam: I know. The years just go by, don't they? You barely notice.
Jo: And our friendship goes right back to first week — that's mad, really.
Sam: It does go back a long way. Funny how some things just stick.
