Maya's office at dawn, the bank's letter still open on the desk
The letter was a loan recall: pay within ninety days, or the bank would close her down. Rather than let it sink her, Maya turned the panic into a gamble. She threw the company behind a local campaign to raise awareness of the plastic choking the river, hoping the goodwill might bring in the customers she needed to survive.
At the first meeting, residents voiced concern that one small firm could not possibly have an impact on so vast a problem.
Maya: On our own, no, Maya admitted. But working together, we can bring about real change — a cleaner river, and a reason for this town to back its own shops.

Lena, filming from the back, watched what began as a handful of sceptical shopkeepers gradually gather momentum.
Either way, her candour landed. By morning, three more shops had pinned the poster up.
