A packed lecture hall at Maya's old college, late afternoon

The furious factory owner had stormed out of the river campaign meeting, but his threats came to nothing — the council backed the clean-up, and the story made the local paper. Days later, a different invitation arrived: her old college wanted Maya to speak. Lena came along to film it.

Maya: Honestly, the right teacher can play a huge role in a career. Maybe my own messy story can shed some light on how skills are really picked up.

A student near the front pushed back: degrees were expensive, she said, and led nowhere. The room went quiet, waiting.

Same hall, moments later — Maya steps out from behind the lectern

Maya: The student nodded slowly, the doubt loosening on her face. "It's far too early to draw any conclusions about where you'll end up," Maya told her gently. "Keep going, and the doors do open."

The hall broke into applause. Behind her camera, Lena was beaming.
