Is there a skill people make a big fuss about that you think is overrated — or one that's quietly underrated?

A natural way to answer
I'd say multitasking is overrated. The research increasingly suggests that juggling tasks just makes us worse at all of them. What's genuinely underrated, in my view, is the ability to listen properly — to really take in what someone is saying before you weigh in with your own view. It's rarer than you'd think.
Key phrases to use
- blag their way through — to get through a situation by talking confidently without real knowledge“He blagged his way through the interview somehow.”
- gets the job done — completes the work reliably, without fuss“She's not flashy, but she gets the job done.”
- play well with others — to cooperate and get along with people as part of a team“Talent matters, but you also have to play well with others.”
- drop the ball — to make a mistake by failing to do something you were responsible for“I really dropped the ball on that one — I forgot to follow up.”
