A natural way to answer
It really varies. When I need to concentrate, I prefer silence. For chores I like music, and for long journeys I tend to switch to podcasts. Each one has its place.
Key phrases to use
- have music on in the background — to play music quietly while doing something else“I like to have music on in the background while I work.”
- has its place — is useful or appropriate in the right situation“Fast food has its place when you're busy.”
- fried — mentally exhausted, unable to think clearly“My brain is completely fried after that meeting.”
