Some people watch shows on fast speed or skip ahead. What's your take on that?

A natural way to answer
I can see both sides. Watching at normal speed lets you take in the atmosphere and the pacing the makers intended. That said, if something is really dragging on, I understand why people skip ahead.
Key phrases to use
- skim through — go through something quickly, skipping the less interesting parts“I skimmed through the boring middle bit.”
- sit through — stay and watch something all the way to the end, often reluctantly“I had to sit through the whole thing.”
- dragging on — continuing for too long in a slow, tedious way“The plot was dragging on a bit.”
- defeats the purpose — makes the whole point of doing something pointless“Rushing it defeats the purpose.”
