How do you organise your books at home, or do you not bother?

B2Books & readingDescribe

A natural way to answer

I don't organise them very strictly. They tend to gather in piles around the house rather than neatly on shelves. I always plan to arrange them properly but never quite manage it. Even so, I usually know roughly where everything is.

Key phrases to use

  • pile up — accumulate or gather in increasing amounts, often untidily“Unread books pile up on my bedside table.”
  • get round to — finally find the time to do something you've been meaning to do“I never get round to tidying my shelves.”
