A natural way to answer

I try to keep things in two places. My photos automatically save to the cloud, and once a month I copy the most important files to a small hard drive. That way, if I lose my phone, I won't lose everything.

Key phrases to use

  • live on — to be stored or kept in a particular place (for files or data)“All my notes live on my laptop.”
  • back them up — to make an extra copy of files in case the originals are lost“Remember to back them up before you update.”
  • back everything up — to make copies of all your files for safety“I finally backed everything up last night.”
  • keeping my fingers crossed — hoping that something will go well“I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news.”
