A natural way to answer

I think they are useful in many situations, like seeing a menu without waiting for a waiter. However, they can be a problem if your phone is slow or the signal is weak. So I have mixed feelings about them.

Key phrases to use

  • do my head in — to annoy or frustrate you a lot“That endless loading screen does my head in.”
  • on the blink — not working properly; faulty or about to break“The wifi's been on the blink all morning.”
  • get left behind — to fail to keep up with progress or change“It's easy to get left behind when tech moves so fast.”
