How do you decide what to keep and what to get rid of when your wardrobe gets too full?

A natural way to answer
I try to be practical about it. I look at each item and ask whether I've worn it recently and whether it still fits and suits me. If not, I give it to charity. It helps to do a proper clear-out once or twice a year.
Key phrases to use
- hang on to — to keep something rather than getting rid of it“I'd hang on to that coat if I were you.”
- bite the bullet — to force yourself to do something difficult or unpleasant you've been avoiding“I finally bit the bullet and threw out half my clothes.”
