I have a reservation under — give your booking name
expressionB1IELTS 4+neutralcommon
How you tell hotel or restaurant staff that you have booked, giving the name the booking is under.
Pattern: I have a reservation under [name]
In use
- Hello, I have a reservation under Maria Santos.hotel reception
- A: Do you have a booking with us?
B: Yes, I have a reservation under Santos.hotel
Common mistake
✗ I have reservation on my name Sam.
✓ I have a reservation under Sam Lee.
Use 'a reservation under [name]', not 'reservation on my name'.
Don't confuse it
Pair it with 'check in': you give the name, then check in.
