How you check that a bus, train or tram is heading to the place you want.
Pattern: Does this [bus/train] go to [place]?
In use
- Excuse me, does this train go to the airport?platform
- A: Excuse me, does this go to the city centre?
B: It does — hop on.bus stop
Common mistake
✗ This bus go to centre?
✓ Does this bus go to the centre?
Form the question with 'Does this … go to …?', not just rising intonation.
Don't confuse it
Use it before boarding; once on, you'd ask 'Does this stop at …?'
