Common mistake
✗ I'm over moon for the news.
✓ I'm over the moon about the news.
Keep the fixed phrase 'over the moon' with 'the', and use 'about' for the reason.
Don't confuse it
'Over the moon' is stronger than 'pleased'; 'feeling down' is the low-mood opposite.
