In use

Common mistake

✗ I'm feeling down myself today.

✓ I'm feeling a bit down today.

Soften it with 'a bit', and don't add 'myself' — 'feeling down' already means about yourself.

Don't confuse it

'Feeling down' is mild and temporary; 'over the moon' is the happy opposite.
