Tidying up together
Lee: The kitchen's a state. Let's sort out this mess before they arrive.
Pat: Okay, where do you want me to start?
Lee: Just put down those plates by the sink and I'll wash them.
Pat: Done. What's next on the list?
Sharing the jobs
Pat: I'll carry on with the hoovering, then.
Lee: Great. Did you pick up my parcel from the neighbour?
Pat: Yeah, it's on the table. Oh, and I need to give back their drill.
Lee: Pop it round later — they're not in till six anyway.
After dinner
Pat: That was a great meal. Shall I do the washing-up while you relax?
Lee: You cooked, so I'll do it — only fair.
Pat: Tell you what, I'll dry and you wash. Quicker that way.
Lee: Deal. Pass me that tea towel, then.
